E2Crop and PC Hub hold first joint meeting at RMIT University

On Monday, 1 September, the ARC Research Hub for Intelligent Energy Efficiency in Future Protected Cropping (E2Crop) welcomed a delegation from the ARC Research Hub for Protected Cropping (PC Hub) to the RMIT University City Campus for our first joint meeting.

The session began with introductions from both Hubs, featuring E2Crop Hub Director Distinguished Professor Tianyi Ma and PC Hub Director Professor Tony Bacic.

Discussions highlighted each Hub’s complementary expertise across advanced materials, renewable energy, plant quality enhancement, AI, medicinal agriculture, and digital horticulture. Open exchanges also explored how AI and digital technologies could help shape the future of protected cropping.

This inaugural meeting set the stage for potential collaborations between our Hubs, and we look forward to developing impactful partnerships that advance innovation in sustainable agriculture.
