Advancing Legume Research: PC Hub at the 8th International Food Legume Research Conference & the 5th Australian Pulse Conference

September 29, 2025

From 15–19 September, the PC Hub participated in the combined 8th International Food Legume Research Conference and 5th Australian Pulse Conference in Perth. This joint event brought together researchers, industry leaders, and policymakers from around the world to share the latest advances in legume science and innovation.

Our Director, Prof. Tony Bacic, presented on behalf of Dr. Roman Buckow, showcasing our research on improving the nutritional value and sensory qualities of legume-based foods. This research plays a vital role in supporting healthier diets and sustainable food systems.

By joining forces with the La Trobe Institute for Sustainable Agriculture and Food, the PC Hub is proud to contribute to global discussions on how legumes can help address the challenges of food security, nutrition, and sustainability.

Together, we are driving innovation that strengthens agriculture and delivers impact from the lab to the plate.
